Giving Back to Our Community: Building Beds with Sleep in Heavenly Peace

January 16, 2026

Last week, I had the opportunity to step away from the office and into a hands-on service project that truly reminded me why community matters. Alongside my fellow members of the St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council 12449. I volunteered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization dedicated to ensuring that no child has to sleep on the floor.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace builds and delivers beds to children in need, providing not just furniture, but dignity, comfort, and stability. During our build day, volunteers worked side by side measuring, cutting, sanding, and assembling bed frames. Thanks to an incredible team effort, we were able to build more beds than originally planned, meaning even more children in our community will have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.

What stood out most was the power of teamwork. People from different backgrounds and professions came together with a shared purpose: serving others. It was a reminder that when individuals unite around a meaningful mission, the impact can far exceed expectations.

As a business, we believe that success is not measured only by numbers or outcomes, but also by how we contribute to the communities we serve. Giving back is not just something we do. It is part of who we are. Experiences like this reinforce the importance of service, stewardship, and responsibility, values that guide both our personal lives and our professional relationships.

We are grateful for organizations like Sleep in Heavenly Peace that identify real needs and create tangible solutions, and for community groups like the Knights of Columbus who make service a priority. We look forward to continuing to support initiatives that strengthen families and improve lives right here at home.

If you are looking for a meaningful way to give back, we encourage you to learn more about Sleep in Heavenly Peace and consider getting involved. Sometimes, something as simple as a bed can make a life-changing difference.
